THROUGH
MY LENS
Welcome to the blog of Joan Manuel Photo Studio, a space where I share the work, experiences, ideas, and stories that continue to shape my life as a photographer. For me, photography is much more than operating a camera. It is a way of observing the world, understanding light, anticipating moments, and finding beauty in details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Over the years, I have developed my approach through portraiture, weddings, events, landscapes, architecture, and commercial photography, always combining technical precision with a strong sense of composition, timing, light, and visual storytelling.
I am fortunate to share this journey with my wife, who is an essential part of the studio. Together, we bring different perspectives, skills, and sensitivities to every project, from intimate portraits and weddings to professional commercial work. We also share a particular passion for Iris Fine Art, a distinctive photographic approach that transforms the intricate patterns, colours, and textures of the human iris into highly detailed works of art. It is one of the specialties that gives our studio a truly individual character.
Through this blog, I will take you behind the scenes and share selected photographs, photo sessions, personal projects, creative techniques, locations, and experiences from life behind the camera. Some stories will be technical, others more personal, but all will reflect the same curiosity and passion that have kept me photographing and learning throughout the years.
Photography is an endless process of discovery. Light changes, people change, and every assignment offers a new way of seeing. This blog is my way of sharing that journey and giving you a closer look at the creative world behind Joan Manuel Photo Studio.
s, and beauty through the lens of a camera. Photography is not just a job for me; it is above all a way of being and expressing myself. On this page, I would like to share with you not only my works but also the stories, techniques, and secrets that have made me a photographer.
